Remember Amy and Samy Bouzaglo, the God-besotted Scottsdale restaurateurs who lied to their customers, screamed at critics, and screwed their waitstaff out of tips — on national TV? If not, here’s last week’s Moral Compass post on the gruesome twosome.
Well, the couple just can’t stay out of the (bad) news. Minutes ago, we learned that Samy Bouzaglo, an Israeli citizen who was born in Morocco, faces deportation from the United States for failure to disclose his past on his immigration application.
This TV news broadcast, at the 1:45 mark, says that Bouzaglo, who has the made-guy look pioneered on TV by Paulie Walnuts, is banned from France and Germany, presumably in connection with a criminal past that includes drug distribution, threats, and extortion.
AZCentral.com reports that both Samy and Amy have done prison time.
On Tuesday, Samy and Amy talked about their past records and indicated Samy had served time in prison before immigrating to the United States 13 years ago. Reached by phone as they drove to their restaurant Tuesday morning, Amy and Samy each tried to talk over the other — interrupting, yelling and even cursing one another as the conversation continued.
“We both made mistakes in the past. We have done our time,” Amy said. “We can’t comment.”
Except on the support of one VIP ally:
“We know God is with us.”
In that case, the Almighty hangs out with some pretty shady characters.
Records show Amy has served time in federal prison and has a history of liens and judgments. In 2003, [she] pleaded guilty to misuse of a Social Security number when she applied for a $15,000 bank loan. At the time, her name was Amanda Bossingham. She spent about a year in prison beginning in 2008. Records show that prior to her conviction, Amy faced four judgments in Colorado in 1998 and 1999 totaling about $14,000.

Wow! Those were the jerks that were on the last episode of “Kitchen Nightmares” and Chef Gordon Ramsay said it was the only time in the history of his show that he dealt with people that were beyond help. How much of that show is contrived is anyones guess.
Hate to say it but the wife is hot.
@Charles Oakley: the wife, Amy Bouzaglo, is not hot in any sense of the word.
She is physically unappealing.
The instant she opens her mouth to speak, she descends to the very depths of unappealing.
Once her words and the wretched sentiment behind them have been heard and understood, you develop an active hatred towards her.
Finally, when you learn that she’s already served time in prison for multiple acts of criminal behavior, it becomes clear that her ugliness is bred in the bone.
My working theory is that the Bouzaglos do indeed worship god, it’s just that their god is Satan. Think about it.
Just in the past year, they have:
– stolen their servers’ tips
– created a hostile work environment for over a hundred employees
– lied about their food
– stolen other business’s photos to promote their business online
– failed to remove said photos after being asked repeatedly to do so
– screamed obscenities at customers and employees
– assaulted at least one customer
– attempted to poison a customer (“I hope it hurts him”)
– screamed obscenities at each other
– screamed obscenities at reporters.
– violated contractual agreements with a TV production company
– lied (apparently) on immigration papers
– lied (apparently) on a liquor license application
– and moved in with each other before getting married
All this bad behavior while maintaining that ‘god is on their side’ adds up to indicate that their god is indeed Satan!
I’m with Ted about Amy’s attractiveness. Cheap plastic surgery is a real turn off. So are personality disorders/mental illness.
Have you thought of the moral implications of judging women solely by their appearance, Charles?
Yeah, I am not sure how anyone could look at her and think, “That’s hot” Even before she opens her mouth you can see the crazy. If that isn’t enough to deter you(I certainly hope that it would be) Then the weird horsey face, Fake tan, Too much make-up, over processed hair and obvious cheek implants should pretty much seal the deal.
I think this pair should get done for further breaking the law by:
1) unrightfully keeping tips given to the servers by the customer.
2) Creating a hostile work enviroment.
3) Using photos of other buisnesses to promote their’s.
4) Intimidation of others by screaming vile abusive language and assult.
5) Attempting to poison someone.
6) Violation of a contract.
The abuse they hurl at eachother is fine. They obviously enjoy it hence they are still married.
Karma has a way of making things right when people do wrong. It will be just a matter of time before the deeds that they are doing to others will come back and bite them in their respective butts. They need to look at their neighboring restaurant that is constantly busy and seems to get a lot of repeat business and learn from them. In the end, it will be the citizens of Scottsdale and the US Department of Labor that will have the last say.
I had no idea Amy had done time. I knew Samy had tho.
